As the winter winds bring back the cold weather and holiday season, the National Hockey League hits the ice for another season. Military families can receive discounted tickets to select teams’ home games throughout the 2016-17 NHL season.
The NHL has partnered with GovX to provide active, reserve, veteran and retired military service members discounted tickets to NHL games with a valid military ID. Discounts and promotions are subject to change so make sure to check in with the ticket office beforehand.
Military families can escape the cold and enjoy an electrifying game with the following teams:
Anaheim Ducks
The Ducks offer a special military discount to select home games. Review the list of available games here.
Arizona Coyotes
The Arizona Coyotes and GovX offer military members a discount for up to 20% off regular season home game tickets.
Buffalo Sabres
The Sabres, in partnership with BlueCross BlueShield WNY, are donating tickets and honoring military personnel at every home game this season. To register, sign up here.
Carolina Hurricanes
The Carolina Hurricanes are continuing their Military Rush program from last season allowing military personnel the opportunity to purchase discounted tickets on day-of-game tickets. Tickets will cost $15 for upper-level and $35 for lower-level with a valid military ID. They also offer a Military Appreciation Program that takes off $40 from any lower-level seat and $15 off any upper-level seat at the box office.
Columbus Blue Jackets
The Blue Jackets offer GovX members a 35% discount to any regular season home game, including tickets to the biggest games of the year against the Rangers, Penguins, Blackhawks and Red Wings.
Dallas Stars
Those looking to watch a game at the American Airlines Center can save up to 45% off tickets to the Stars’ regular season home games.
Florida Panthers
Hockey fans wanting to cool off from the Floridian winter can save up to 50% off Panther home games this year.
Los Angeles Kings
The Kings are honoring a service man or woman at every home game this season with their Hero of the Game program. Nominate a military member to be a Hero of the Game here.
Nashville Predators
Military families can save 20% on tickets to regular season Predator home games. The Predators also have four Military Monday games where military members can purchase best available tickets for just $20 with a valid military ID.
New Jersey Devils
The Devils are offering veterans and military families discounted tickets up to 30% off regular pricing to all regular season home games.
New York Islanders
This year the Islanders are offering 15% off Islander home game tickets. Military families can also save 15% off Islander Holiday Plans, which are 3 game packages. Plan A includes games against the Kings, Devils and Bruins. Plan B includes games against the Panthers, Maple Leafs and Rangers.
New York Rangers
The Rangers offer discounted tickets up to 25% off the regular price to all regular season home games.
Philadelphia Flyers
The Flyers offer $20 tickets to military members who present a valid military ID at the box office for every regular season home game while supplies last.
Pittsburgh Penguins
The Penguins are celebrating their 50th year in the NHL and are offering military families up to 40% off regular season home games to GovX members.
St. Louis Blues
The Blues honor those who served and are serving with designated Military Nights for select home games this season. All active, reserve and retired military personnel receive specially priced tickets to these games. Tickets start at $26 for the Mezzanine level.
San Jose Sharks
This year the Sharks are hosting a Military Appreciation Weekend starting on January 23rd when they take on the Wild. Ticket packs start at $40.
Washington Capitals
Military members can save up to 20% on regular season Capital home game tickets at Verizon Center through GovX.
