Phyllis Gatlin is the branch manager at Veterans United Home Loans. She has been in the mortgage industry for more than 20 years and is a lifelong resident of Onslow County. Phyllis has various ties to the military in addition to serving as a sponsor at the local USO. Phyllis considers her customer service and VA Loan expertise to set her apart from other lenders, and her dedication to her customers is second to none. When she isn’t serving her community VA homebuyers, she’s traveling, cooking, reading , or spending time with her sons and dogs.
James Alexander Browning III is a Loan Officer at Veterans United Home Loans. Having been born and raised in Richlands, James is very well versed in the Jacksonville area and looks forward to serving Veterans in the community he comes from. Having a grandfather and uncle who both served in the military, he wants to do his best to serve each homebuyer with the care and attention they deserve and help them to make the most confident and educated purchase possible. Whenever he gets free time, James enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs, golfing, fishing, and listening to live music.
Stephen D. Lee is a Loan Officer with Veterans United in Jacksonville and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He served as a Combat Service Support Specialist and was assigned to units at I MEF, 2nd FSSG, 2nd MEB, and II MAW. Since his time in the military, Stephen has been originating consumer loans for over 15 years and is excited to now be putting his expertise to use for fellow veterans. One of his main goals with his job is to make sure borrowers are educated on the process and trust him so they can have full confidence in their purchase. More than anything, Stephen wants to make sure that things are done the right way as he has his fellow service member’s best interest at heart. Stephen is a member of the local American Legion and also volunteer at the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society on base at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point. Outside of work, he loves to travel, go to live concerts, watch the St. Louis Cardinals in October and spending time with his wife, three kids, and their dog.
